I was with two other people sitting on a grassy knoll next to a lake. I couldn’t see the faces of the other people with me and they were just slightly out of site. The grass was really green almost surreal. We were higher up and looking down on the small lake. I got up and started to walk near the shore looking into the almost black water. I decided to go for a swim and kicked off my shoes. I was going to put my foot into the water and I heard a voice speak to me right away. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you. Those fish will tear your feet off” Just then I noticed that dark water teaming with fish of all sizes. They were the ugliest fish I had ever seen. Some were at least 2 feet long and others were as little as 2 inches long. They were mean like piranhas’ and eating each other. I was relieved I was warned. It was then that I noticed it was Jesus that I was walking with. We walked a little further and suddenly realized I had a huge fish in my arms. It was about 2 feet long and looked like a catfish. It had huge scales on its body that were razor sharp. I held it like a football really tightly fearing it would jump out of my arms. As we walked further Jesus again spoke to me “Throw it back it the water” so I did. It went in with a splash and swam away. Jesus again spoke to me “There is nothing you can do to save that fish. It will never change now. It spent it whole life being bitter and slanderous. It was full of hypocrisy, self righteousness, judgementalism, anger and arrogance.” I realized then the whole lake was filled with these kinds of fish. Jesus spoke again “I am dredging this lake, none will escape my net. I will then fill it with new young fish, they will be pure hearted and I will not allow these evil fish to be part of the new”

I then awoke and realized He was talking about the church. I also realized the other person in my dream was body guard that I often see in my dreams.

Its amazing how accurate it is and was. Every bit of it has been happening for years and yet he had no idea. Also I currently live right next to a great lake (lake Huron) and this blog has now reached almost 100,000 readers as of Dec 2013. The dream of big consequence
In the midst of a deep sleep the Lord gave me a vision of an immense tower of billowing smoke. It was coming from a large town/city by the water. There were people running to the centre of town. I too ran to the center with the feeling that this was a distress signal or a warning sign. When I arrived to the center I found a burning man but he was not consumed by fire, this man was Joe Ouellette, his word to the people was, “there is a way that seems right to a man but the end there of is destruction.”  People were being drawn into the fire, these were Christians I recognized as such, and as they entered the flame they were consumed. This brought out an immense emotion of loss and sadness. Then I entered the fire it was an intense heat but I wasn’t consumed. Then all the city unit fire rescue army feverishly tried to put out the fire. They used trucks planes huge pumps tied into the lake but this only made the fire grow. And this drew even more people into the fire. When I awoke I had a feeling of renewed fervor and the unspoken confirmation that God was about to do a massive work of restoration through judgment.

ART THOU ELIJAH -excerpt from a new book I'm writing on the ministry of Elijah. (rough draft)

ART THOU ELIJAH?

I was invited to minister at a home in on St Josephs Island in Sault St Marie Ontario in 2001. It was from a good friend that often would take me on a small tour ministering in several homes and Church’s in the area. It was beautiful two story home on lake Superior. At the end of my speaking that evening I was answering questions about the prophetic. Someone had asked a question about my ministry exposing sin and about Gods judgments. Although God had told me in the past not to talk about it I assumed I was not throwing my pearls to the swine and answered a few questions about my hidden ministry. After all these were mostly leadership and mature Christians.

I never thought much about what I said as I made my way back to Toronto which was about a 10 hour drive from there. A day or two had gone by since then and I received a phone call in the middle of the night. Bleary eyed I answered the call with fear and trepidation. I mean after, calls in the middle of the night are rarely good.

Well you guessed it! It was a Pastor from a Church in S.S. Marie Michigan. He sounded very upset and told me that he had gotten my number from a friend in Nova Scotia just moments before. It was about 2am if I recall. I was not quite awake yet as he poured out his heart to me over the phone. He kept asking me to forgive him but I couldn’t figure out what he had done. Slowly the house meeting scenario came back to me and I started to slump in my chair.

This is what he said sorrowfully.

When he got home from the meeting that night his wife openly mocked me to him. She thought I was some kind of lunatic thinking that God had called me to this kind of Ministry to the Church. She was immediately rendered a quadriplegic and he rushed her to the hospital in Michigan where Drs performed every test possible but could find no reason for her inability to move her arms and legs. They performed MRI’s and Cat scans but found no reason for her condition.

He was calling me from the Hospital with his wife by his side and very worried. He apologized to me and put her on the phone as well, she also apologized to me through tears. I hung up the phone with a sick feeling in my stomach. The next day he called me again saying. That in no time at all she had gained use of her limbs and walked out of the hospital. Doctors had no explanation for the paralysis.

The coming revival. Some revelations the Lord gave me.

Today I was pondering some prophecies I received over several years. Sometimes God reminds me a lot of things that he told me over the years and they fit together like a big puzzle. Some of the puzzle pieces came as dreams others were revelations given to me in the night and some came as Rhema words during other times. Lately I seem to be running in to the dumbest of people. I can only equate the conversation to having a blind man tell me there's no such thing as color. I mean how do you answer to that? But often in the church of today that's exactly what it's like when God reveals to you some hidden things that he only tells those who are close to him. When I inquired of the Lord about the futility of the situation he showed me something that he has shown me many times in the past. I saw Jesus coming on a donkey, and only the children recognized whom he was. This is a constant reminder to me that he was invisible to the Pharisees and they were prevented from seeing who He really was and is, He did this on purpose because what he had and has was meant for the children and not for the brood of Vipers. Time and time again I have seen this principle repeated and seen the children enter in while the adults completely missed the boat. In the end, the marriage supper of the Lamb and those who were invited made excuses to why they couldn't come. God had shown me many times that the end time revival would be about God's love. That for the first time in a major outpouring, God's people would feel the manifest love of God. But exactly like at the marriage supper of the Lamb those that were invited won't even enter in and will reject this outpouring and say it is of the devil. This revival will be dominated by children and young people that will ignore these religious spirits and fall headfirst head-over-heels in love with the Lord. In essence this group will be the bride of Christ. A bride totally smitten and won't care what others think. They will be given understanding that the others couldn't come close to grasping. They will know who they are in the Lord and will be unmovable in him. It will be a Song of Solomon relationship. These children won’t be manipulated nor will their relationships be half hearted. They will jump in with both feet, not caring what the Pharisees (Christian Fundamentalists) of the day say. In fact the world will jump in before they do as in the marriage supper. “Go into the streets and find whoever will come”

John Oliver Exposed the Mega-Church Conmen—How the IRS Lets Them Get Away with It

John Oliver’s segment on televangelist prosperity preachers this week has exposed what some say is a massive system of fraud that is being carried out on vulnerable people with no government enforcement or oversight.

Oliver’s HBO show Last Week Tonight highlighted some egregious examples, including Robert Tilton, Mike Murdock and Creflo Dollar. Dollar came under scrutiny for raising money to buy himself a $65 million personal jet. Murdock boasted to his parish that he bought a jet with cash, and because he could sense so much jealousy, he bought another one worth three times more, again with cash.

The preachers are subscribers to something called “prosperity gospel,” a suspiciously self-serving idea that wealth is a sign of God’s favor. They tell followers that sending them money will result in receiving money, for which of course, there is no guarantee in the real world.

“Really the best way to say it is, it’s fraud in the name of God, but because it’s in the name of God our legal system turns a blind eye,” said Andrew Seidel, staff attorney for the Freedom From Religion Foundation. “It’s a religious pyramid scheme. And worse, it’s a religious pyramid scheme that’s based on spiritual blackmail.”

Had a dream last night! It was at night .As I looked south toward the border I saw war planes from Canada flying south. In the sky I saw the sky lit up with fire and giant explosions. Inside I wanted to run I was so scared but then I thought I was going to chance going south to see if I could rescue my daughter and bring her home. I then saw my son pulling away in a military vehicle and was going to war. I decided to get to my Motorhome and drive it up north instead but realized I still had to pay the repair bill. When I got there they had removed my motor and sold it with out my permission and I was upset. I then woke up.

While in prayer I had a vision (I don’t have many) I saw a tank hiding in the brush. I saw the turet turning and went past me. It then stopped and turned back and pointed right at me. It then fired and I saw the shell come out of the barrel and had no chance to move.

When I was praying last night the Lord spoke to me about some worldwide events. He told me that a great war is escalating. Nation is rising up against Nation and that soon troops will be on Canadian soil. He then told me that this land shall be laid waste. He tells me this often. He then told me he would give me some revelations in the night concerning this.

            I had a dream. I dreamt I was in Richmond Hill (my home town). It was nighttime and there were troops on my street. They started shooting at us but we dodged the bullets. The others that were with me ran with their children behind the ravine. I was left standing with one family and their two children. Then I saw I giant tank come out from the houses and start to take aim at the house and us in the way. I then held up my arms and walked toward the captain of the troops. They stopped firing and let me proceed. I asked the Captain to let us go as we were no threat to him. He responded in a thick Russian accent and said “that he would give us a head start before they chased after us”. At that I began to run I picked up one of the little babies and proceeded to lead everyone away. We all ran as fast as we could and when we got to the ravine I heard the tank fire its cannon at my childhood home. I realized we were on the run and had no clothes or any food just our faith.

            When I awoke the Lord again began to speak to me.” The blood of the unborn children cries out to me and I will satisfy their cries. This land and the US shall be laid waste for their murder of the unborn children. No amount of fasting or weeping will cause my arm of Judgment to stop until I have satisfied their cries. For this generation is an abomination in my sight.” I asked the Lord when this would happen. This what he said? “When you see a great star fall from the sky, a great tragedy it would be 90 days after that.” I then saw what looked to be a very slow moving streak across the sky going from the east to the west. I could see things breaking off and falling to the earth.

Dream

Dreamt I saw a globe of the world on the floor of this shabby house. As I got close to, it began to shake violently at least four feet off the floor. At this I thought it must be the enemy doing this so I began to rebuke it. As I began to open my mouth it was instantly bound and I was prevented from rebuking it. I began to get scared and it shook even more violently. I looked over in the corner as I saw something moving. It was a small baby that was naked and lying on the floor. I looked and I saw in its hand a cutting blade that was very sharp like a razor. It was a blade that was used in those food processors but much bigger. I then awoke. This was the Lord said.” I am going to shake this world. No amount of prayer or fasting will stop my hand. I will not relent until the cries of the unborn have stopped. Apathy has taken over my people. They worry about Harry Potter and start big campaigns while innocent children are murdered everyday in the hands of these wicked people. Who has ever seen such insanity! My hand is coming against these nations that practice these detestable practices. I will shake every nation!!”

Dream. Feb 11^th 2003

    I dreamt I was at a large church and was in the foyer. I was talking with people about the real church and someone I knew started screaming at me defending the "Church". I then began to prophecy loudly "The Lord is coming to destroy this place. He is coming in power to tear down every man made structure. Nothing shall be left only the true church. A church without walls. A church where Jesus shall be the headship. A church with the Fathers love. This church will wear shoes." At this point everyone began to get really angry at me and someone screamed " How is God going to do this?" I screamed back as loud as I could "WAR! WAR! WAR!" I then woke up.

    As soon as I awoke I felt the holy spirit and the Lord began to speak to me. This is what he said. " I have released the destroyer across this great land. Nothing shall be left standing. For the want of the world has stolen my people from me and I will not stand it any longer. I shall destroy all those worthless idols they cling to. Nothing shall be left them. Then I will see who are truly mine. Those I see worshipping me and giving me the Glory though they have lost all are mine. Those who become embittered and wallow in self pity will be cast into the fire. I will remove all those that are not mine from my sight.

I dreamt a friend asked me to go to the grocery store but I had to take a horse and buggy.  I jumped in the buggy and proceeded on my way.  I was going up and down very tall hills and felt I was in Virginia.  Many times the horse would go down the hill way too fast and I thought we would crash but he seemed to do fine.  There were no cars anywhere. When I finally got the grocery store it looked as if a civil war had broken its out.  Bodies lay in the streets everywhere I looked.  Most, seemed to have died from starvation.  Grown men appeared to weigh about 80 pounds.  They were less than skin and bones.  Some were crawling across the ground and I wondered how it was possible that they were alive.  They were so grotesque I could not even look at them.  Several had bullet holes in them obviously from trying to get groceries at the grocery store.  One man rolled over and moaned he had three arrows in him.  When I got to the grocery store there was absolutely nothing left.  Every shelf had been cleaned out and it looked like an abandoned store.  Bodies lay in the aisles.  I went back outside to go back home.  I realized many people were naked as they were lying in the streets.  I wondered if people stole their clothes.

Dreamt it was night-time it and was in an open field. I thought the location was near Kitchener Ontario but it was hard to see any landmarks since it was nighttime. I saw something move up in the sky and my eyes were automatically drawn to it. I saw the moon and it seemed unusually large it appeared as if the big chunk had broken off and was falling. It looked to be about a quarter of the moon. I remembered this from a dream I had before and wondered how the moon could be broken off. Below that I saw four smaller moons approximately one quarter of the size of the large one. Each one appeared to be a quarter waning. I saw a shadow of a man with some kind of object above him. There was a long rope attached to this object and the man appeared to be climbing down it. I suddenly realized that there were thousands of these ropes hanging down from what appeared to be dark helicopters. Each one had men scurrying down the ropes to the earth below. I was standing right where several of them would land on the ground and my heart began to pound. I then began to fly up to where they were and one of them passed me by hitting me in the shoulder. He hit me so hard I thought my shoulder would break. His boots were black and all of his clothes. I knew these were secret forces and this would be the beginning of the Great War.

I dreamt I was standing in the US somewhere. There were several people around me that for some reason seemed quite content. It was a beautiful sunny day, very peaceful in fact. The sun was shining the air was warm you couldn't ask for a better day. I looked at a woman who stood across from me and I recognized her from some church somewhere. She seems gloriously happy for some reason and had it look of contentment on her glowing face. I suddenly heard a sound behind me and turned around to see who it was. We were suddenly surrounded by  troops in dark uniforms. Some were sporting machineguns others high-powered rifles. They started escorting us pushing us in shoving this against our will. They seemingly came from nowhere and somehow I knew they were taking us to concentration camps. Fear gripped me inside. I thought to myself why didn't I leave the US why did I stay here. I knew this was coming and I knew it was coming on a bright sunny day when people would least expect it. I knew I was going to die and that we're all going to be eventually shot.

Although it is unclear who began firing, there are some who question the uncertain circumstances, and who was responsible for first shots fired. Independent investigators questioned who would fire first at a double amputee, and Cooper's supporters claimed it was a convenient death, given the close proximity to the September 11th attacks, of which Cooper had already predicted, three months or so prior to the attacks (on his show "Hour Of The Time", 6-28-2001), Cooper was armed and one deputy was wounded. Another deputy returned fire, killing Cooper. Milton William Cooper was 58 years old.

5. There will be nude dancing in church, but this will never be widespread.
6. There will be occult practices in churches.

Thirty days of chastisement will fall on New York City such as the world has never seen.  God is going to let down the walls. There will be unimaginable violence and looting.  The violence will be so ferocious, it will shock the whole world.  Our streets will be lined, not just with the National Guard, but with militia. A thousand fires will burn at the same time throughout the city.  The Los Angeles fires were confined to a few sections of that city, but New York will be ablaze in all its boroughs.  Fire trucks will not be able to handle it all. Trains and busses will be shut down. Billions of dollars will be lost. Broadway shows will stop completely.  Businesses will flee the city in an unstoppable hemorrhage.  Such things are expected in Third World countries, but not in a civilized nation like the United States.      Yet, in not too long a time afterwards, New York City will go completely bankrupt.  The Queen City will be cast into the dirt, becoming a city of poverty. What I saw coming will be much more severe.  Indeed, if America rejects God’s call to turn back to Him, we’ll face the same judgments Israel faced.  And they will hit not only New York but also every region in the country.  Even the heartland won’t be spared.  The nation’s economy will collapse, and violence will erupt.  Fires will consume our cities, and tanks will rumble through the streets. pray that God would give our President the same spirit that Josiah had, to tremble at his Word.

In 2010 I wrote a word about the coming years and things the Lord had revealed to me during a fast. One of the major things was that God would rake home many ministers that have been profiting from the Gospel. Also the prophets that have been watering down the intensity of Gods warning against America. Many big names passed away over the next few years and some friends of mine that are tied up in the these money  making scams have been very worried that they would be next. I continually follow other "Prophets " that are were compromising the words God has given them. Two of these people were John Paul Jackson and Bob Jones who again were removing the intensity of Gods warnings from their dreams and visions. I also know right now of many others who are still alive right now who are toning things down in order to save their ministries from the persecution that comes with trying to save people from the coming destruction. Without the Prophets warning there can be no repentance so they are in effect of stopping the repentance from happening and then follow under judgment. Yes its true, you might lose it all but save your own soul and many others with you. There have always been two streams in the prophetic in the US. One telling the truth about the end of America and being deposed by the popular church and those who compromised the prophecies so they would look good and escape the ridicule that comes with the prophetic voice. Many times I wanted to escape the burden of telling the truth only to find myself under  judgment myself until I did. Look at Jonah's life! One time in the past God gave me this exact scripture during the night after and intense dream about the house I was staying at and the owner. I delivered the message immediately after reading the scripture.

This will be a time of great shaking in the church. Many leaders will be supernaturally taken out and many others will be made an example of their compromise in the kingdom. Some will merely lose their churches and finances and others will drop dead like Ananias and Sapphira. (Acts 5:1)

They were warned, yet they did not prepare their flock to get ready for the great economic collapse so they would have a chance to repent. They were not readied nor told the truth so their judgment will be much greater.

For those that endured great persecution while still holding onto your faith and trust in God, even though you saw the sad state of the Church. Do not become jealous like the prodigal son’s obedient brother but instead rejoice with your heavenly Father as he welcomes home his wayward sons, those Christians that embraced the world and all its glory.

Re-post of my dream from 2010. This is happening this week including the snow here in Canada.

This is a repost from a dream I had in 2010 that is being fulfilled today. An unbelievable amount of major companies are declaring bankruptcy in Canada this week. The list is staggering. One major one is TARGET closing 133 stores, Sobeys and Foodland in Canada (huge grocers) MEXX,  Sony stores, Smart Set, Jacob,  SEARS, ZELLERS, HOLT RENFREW and this is just a few. Also Alberta Oil sands have stopped production due to the falling oil prices and have laid off 1000 people. Another Oil Giant has laid off 9000 people.

I was in Virginia in the wintertime with my daughter. We were walking down a very snow filled road and she had a friend with her. It was in the evening just after the sun went down. It was very slippery as the roads were covered in thick ice. I heard a sound behind me like a loud train rumbling when I saw a huge tidal wave of snow coming over the mountain towards us. I began to run as fast as I could with the kids. My daughter’s friend fell down and I grabbed her hand and started to drag her on the ice to get away from the snowy death. Fear gripped me thinking we were all going to be buried alive. I was in the Shenandoah Valley.

When I awoke God spoke to me immediately saying “The want of this world has stolen the hearts of my people. I am sending a great destruction to this place.”

Investor: “Terrifying” Consequences if Oil Drops to $40

As the price of oil drops below $50 for the first time since 2009, noted investor Jeffrey Gundlach warns that a fall to $40 dollars a barrel could spark “terrifying” geopolitical consequences.

The February contract for West Texas Intermediate briefly fell to a session low of $49.95 earlier today, while Brent crude also hit a 5-½-year low.

However, according to influential investor Gundlach, founder of Doubleline Capital, a fall to $40 could set in motion devastating global developments.

“Oil is incredibly important right now,” Gundlach said in a recent interview with FuW. “If oil falls to around $40 a barrel then I think the yield on ten year treasury note is going to 1%. I hope it does not go to $40 because then something is very, very wrong with the world, not just the economy. The geopolitical consequences could be – to put it bluntly – terrifying.”

As Zero Hedge points out, Gundlach is right to draw a correlation between unstable price fluctuations in crude oil and geopolitical turmoil.

“Large and rapid rises and falls in the price of crude oil have correlated oddly strongly with major geopolitical and economic crisis across the globe. Whether driven by problems for oil exporters or oil importers, the ‘difference this time’ is that, thanks to central bank largesse, money flows faster than ever and everything is more tightly coupled with that flow.”

The last time we saw anything like this activity in terms of oil price, it turned out to be a precursor to the global financial collapse of 2008.

“A junk bond implosion is usually a signal that a major stock market crash is on the way. So if you are looking for a “canary in the coal mine”, keep your eye on the performance of energy junk bonds. If they begin to collapse, that is a sign that all hell is about to break loose on Wall Street,” writes Michael Snyder.

As we have previously documented, the sudden drop in the price of oil has much to do with an engineered attack on the Russian economy and the Ruble which is being led by Saudi Arabia and the Obama White House. The ultimate goal is to destabilize the Russian government and foment a color revolution.

This agenda was summed up by Paul Stevens, a fellow for the secretive Royal Institute of International Affairs based at Chatham House in London.

“If the governments aren’t able to spend to keep the kids off the streets they will go back to the streets, and we could start to see political disruption and upheaval,” wrote Stevens.

The US and the Saudis have resolved to crash the price of oil and with it Russia’s financial system despite the fact that this will also cripple the European economy. Russia has even proposed that the EU dump the TTIP free trade agreement with the United States and instead join the newly established Eurasian Economic Union.

“The U.S. and European sanctions against Russia will become more severe and crippling in the face of drastically falling oil prices – prices which are falling drastically because of the unprecedented boom of shale gas fracking both domestically in the U.S. and abroad in Ukraine and other locales,” writes Mac Slavo. “The oil & gas giants like Chevron and Exxon Mobil have created revolutionary conditions with now direct consequences on U.S. foreign policy and global war for dominance.”

Narcissistic Personality Disorder is characterized by a long-standing pattern of grandiosity (either in fantasy or actual behavior), an overwhelming need for admiration, and usually a complete lack of empathy toward others. People with this disorder often believe they are of primary importance in everybody’s life or to anyone they meet. While this pattern of behavior may be appropriate for a king in 16th Century England, it is generally considered inappropriate for most ordinary people today.

People with narcissistic personality disorder often display snobbish, disdainful, or patronizing attitudes. For example, an individual with this disorder may complain about a clumsy waiter’s “rudeness” or “stupidity” or conclude a medical evaluation with a condescending evaluation of the physician.

In laypeople terms, someone with this disorder may be described simply as a  “narcissist” or as someone with “narcissism.” Both of these terms generally refer to someone with narcissistic personality disorder.

A personality disorder is an enduring pattern of inner experience and behavior that deviates from the norm of the individual’s culture. The pattern is seen in two or more of the following areas: cognition; affect; interpersonal functioning; or impulse control. The enduring pattern is inflexible and pervasive across a broad range of personal and social situations. It typically leads to significant distress or impairment in social, work or other areas of functioning. The pattern is stable and of long duration, and its onset can be traced back to early adulthood or adolescence.

Symptoms of Narcissistic Personality Disorder

In order for a person to be diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) they must meet five or more of the following  symptoms:

• Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
• Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
• Believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
• Requires excessive admiration
• Has a very strong sense of entitlement, e.g., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations
• Is exploitative of others, e.g., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
• Lacks empathy, e.g., is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others
• Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her
• Regularly shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

Because personality disorders describe long-standing and enduring patterns of behavior, they are most often diagnosed in adulthood. It is uncommon for them to be diagnosed in childhood or adolescence, because a child or teen is under constant development, personality changes and maturation. However, if it is diagnosed in a child or teen, the features must have been present for at least 1 year.

Narcissistic  personality disorder is more prevalent in males than females, and is thought to occur in up to 6.2 percent of the general population.

Like most personality disorders, narcissistic   personality disorder typically will decrease in intensity with age, with many people experiencing few of the most extreme symptoms by the time they are in the 40s or 50s.

How is Narcissistic Personality Disorder Diagnosed?

Personality disorders such as narcissistic personality disorder are typically diagnosed by a trained mental health professional, such as a psychologist or  psychiatrist. Family physicians and general practitioners are generally not trained or well-equipped to make this type of psychological diagnosis. So while you can initially consult a family physician about this problem, they should refer you to a mental health professional for diagnosis and treatment. There are no laboratory, blood or genetic tests that are used to diagnose personality disorder.

Many people with narcissistic personality disorder don’t seek out treatment. People with personality disorders, in general, do not often seek out treatment until the disorder starts to significantly interfere or otherwise impact a person’s life. This most often happens when a person’s coping resources are stretched too thin to deal with stress or other life events.

A diagnosis for narcissistic  personality disorder is made by a mental health professional comparing your symptoms and life history with those listed here. They will make a determination whether your symptoms meet the criteria necessary for a personality disorder diagnosis.

Causes of Narcissistic Personality Disorder

Researchers today don’t know what causes  narcissistic personality disorder.  There are many theories, however, about the possible causes of  narcissistic personality disorder.  Most professionals subscribe to a biopsychosocial model of causation — that is, the causes of  are likely due to biological and genetic factors, social factors (such as how a person interacts in their early development with their family and friends and other children), and psychological factors (the individual’s personality and temperament, shaped by their environment and learned coping skills to deal with stress). This suggests that no single factor is responsible — rather, it is the complex and likely intertwined nature of all three factors that are important. If a person has this personality disorder, research suggests that there is a slightly increased risk   for this disorder to be “passed down” to their children.

Treatment of  Narcissistic Personality Disorder

Treatment of narcissistic personality disorder  typically involves long-term psychotherapy with a therapist that has experience in treating this kind of personality disorder.
